This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Canal Sim ("the App", "the Game", "we", "us") handles information. The App is created and published by King Paramount ("the Developer").
In short: Canal Sim's own code does not collect or store your personal data. The game is free to play and is supported by ads. In the free version, ads are served by a third-party advertising network, Google AdMob, which collects certain data (such as your device's advertising identifier) in order to show ads. A one-off in-app purchase removes the ads.
If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at ccwakely@gmail.com.
The Developer (King Paramount) does not itself collect or store personal information about you. Specifically, we do not:
The data described in the rest of this policy is either stored only on your own device (Section 2) or handled by our advertising and payment partners (Sections 3 and 4), not gathered by us.
The App saves a small amount of game data locally on your device only, using your device's standard app storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the Developer. It includes:
This information is used solely to run the game and let you continue where you left off. It is removed when you uninstall the App or clear the App's data through your device settings. The App also includes a "reset progress" function that erases this saved data on demand.
The free version of Canal Sim shows advertisements. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service operated by Google. To select and display ads, and to measure their performance, the AdMob software in the App may collect and process certain data, which typically includes:
This data is collected and used by Google, not by the Developer, and is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not this one. To learn how Google uses this information, and to manage your choices, see:
You can limit ad personalisation and reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings (for example, under Settings → Privacy / Google → Ads on Android, or Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on Apple devices). On Apple devices, where the App uses the IDFA for personalised ads, you will be shown Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and can decline. You can also remove ads entirely by purchasing the ad-free upgrade (see Section 4).
Canal Sim offers a single, one-off in-app purchase that removes ads. This purchase is processed entirely by the relevant app store — the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store — using their own billing systems.
The Developer does not receive or store your payment-card details or other financial information; that is handled by the store. The store provides the App only with confirmation of whether the purchase has been made, so that ads can be switched off. Your purchase can be restored on a new device or after reinstalling, using the same store account. Your use of the store's billing is subject to that store's own terms and privacy policy.
The free, ad-supported version requires an internet connection to play: its ads are served over the internet, and if your device is offline the App shows a message asking you to reconnect rather than continuing. The ad-free (purchased) version needs no connection and can be played fully offline.
The App's "About" screen contains two informational links to external websites operated by third parties:
If you tap one of these links, your device's web browser will open the relevant website. Those websites are controlled by third parties and are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites.
The App requires access to the internet (and to check network connectivity) so that the advertising and in-app-purchase components can work, as described above. On Android 13 and later, the advertising library also adds an Advertising ID permission (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) so it can serve ads.
Your device may also list audio-related permissions for Canal Sim (for example "Microphone" / RECORD_AUDIO and "Modify audio settings" on Android), because the App's audio playback library declares them by default. Canal Sim does not record audio and does not use your microphone. It only plays sounds (music, engine noise, and the boats' pre-recorded voice lines) through your device's speakers. No audio is captured, stored, or transmitted.
Canal Sim is suitable for a general audience but is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Developer collects no personal data from anyone (see Section 1). The free version does show ads served by Google, which uses data such as the advertising identifier as described in Section 3; this standard advertising setup is intended for general-audience apps. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to the extent they apply.
The Developer does not hold any personal data about you, so there is no such data on our side that could be lost or misused. The game data described in Section 2 is stored locally on your own device and protected by your device's own security. Data handled by our advertising and payment partners is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and protected under those partners' own security measures.
You remain in control:
Because we hold no personal data ourselves, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf; for data held by Google, please use Google's own controls linked in Section 3.
How to request deletion of your data. Canal Sim is published by King Paramount. As explained above, the Developer keeps no personal data about you on any server, so there is no account to delete. To delete the data associated with the App:
What is deleted or kept. All of the on-device game data listed in Section 2 is deleted by the steps above, with no additional retention period on the Developer's side (we never receive or store it). Advertising data is deleted and retained according to Google's policy. If you have any question or deletion request, contact King Paramount at ccwakely@gmail.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App, our advertising or payment partners, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and post the new version at the same location where this policy is published. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your privacy while using Canal Sim, please contact:
